Danica Trpković (born in 1996) is native of Smed. Palanka, Serbia. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2022, faculty of Visual Art. Over the years he has taken part in numerous group exhibitions in her hometown in Serbia, has participated for several years at the ULUB artist residency in Serbia, won the Marzotto Prize “Il Pianeta che vorrei” in 2015, and has exhibited at the Art Night of the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice in 2019 and 2021. In 2022 she participated in two group exhibitions in Italy: Carnello cArte ad Arte and Biennale Diego Donati.
Her day to day work focuses on themes such as cultural identity and isolation. For her engravings she draws strong inspiration from old black and white films; solitary figures inserted into the urban context, illuminated by street lamps and surrounded by deep shadows.
In her etchings she mostly uses the pointillism technique and the printmaking techniques she uses in her works are etchings, aquatints, linocuts or woodcuts.
